    This sort of thing feels like it's never going to go away... partially because some of the people are just rude and inconsiderate rather then the scum of humanity we like to paint them as. I've been to several forums, where I get the feeling that these people are nice enough, they just have to have an attitude adjustment. Then again, I'm the type of guy to try and be reasonable, and really have to be pushed to hate someone... who isn't obviously being a troll.

    Like the video says, though, I'm far from being perfect myself. I've had my share of several snarky or sarcastic responses to people if I thought what they were saying was stupid or ridiculous. I've changed since that point, but I think I'm still prone to doing it if I'm in a foul mood... Actually, I find myself getting in a foul mood a lot as of late, for... a number of reasons, most of them personal, and I'm regretful if I come off as rude in those cases. Still, at least I acknowledge that and apologize when that happens, unlike so many others.

    ...Say, anyone else remember how in Game Grumps, JonTron would dive into throwing out insults, sometimes even homophobic insults ("You're only good at this because they're faggy games!") whenever he started losing? I feel like this is more to do with the fact that he gets WAAAAAAAY too competitive with those types of games then anything, and JonTron has a tendency to say insensitive things without really thinking about them. Still, if he knows he went to far, he apologizes, with these other guys feel like they're justified in saying such terrible things. I'm not a competitive gamer at all, and I rarely compete against other people in video games, though when I do, I usually get frustrated at myself more then anyone... Unless it's an online game, and I can't see or talk to who I'm competing against, in which case, I rage as much as I want. ...Which isn't really that good for me anyway. Still, I love the point Dan raised regardless.

    Ah yes, the "blame game"... As of late, I TRIED to see whether or not something's my fault or the game's fault. Back in the day, I would blame the game for EVERYTHING that went wrong. These days, after having my ass handed to me by Super Meat Boy and realizing that a lot of the deaths were just me being careless or not paying attention, I've come to notice if something's truly my fault or the game's. I still get angry and frustrated, but I'm less prone to blaming the game in those cases... Still, even then, there will be some people who say the game is fine and still accuse me of not being able to handle losing. Those moments can be ESPECIALLY frustrating! ...But like I said, I don't blame games against other players that often, so I rarely if ever blame losing on the other player. Unless it's Mario Kart. Damn that Blue Shell!

    Oh, my God, what Dan said, about leaving the game more irritated, more angry then when I do this fun thing to relax, that is ME! ESPECIALLY lately, because I've been playing Rayman Legends' Challenge Mode, and it REALLY gets on my nerves when I lose, but moreso because I don't want to be angry and I'm trying not to get too upset about this! It burns be up from the inside out!

The ESRB could discourage online multiplayer by using "Online Interactions" as a descriptor for its ratings instead of just having the "Online Interactions Not Rated By ESRB" disclaimer. For games with online multiplayer with the potential for toxicity, the rating would go up by one level.

    For example, Left 4 Dead 2 would be rated Adults Only with this rule in place because people can kick teammates from the game for any reason. For games that have more moderated multiplayer, the descriptor could be "Mild Online Interactions." A game with this descriptor would be something like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, where multiplayer is limited to people on a user's friends list.

    I have a problem with this idea though. The ESRB rates content that exists within the game. Online interactions however are human behavior and there's no telling how people will react.

    Also a game like Dark Souls allows for limited interaction and communication, but if I kill an invader and he sends a message through Xbox Live's service saying "faggot", does this increase the potential rating of the game?

    "Online Interactions" is a good thing to note in ratings, but I'm not sure if this should increase the rating of the game or not. I'm siding with not for the time being.
